Goin’ South is a suspenseful read that delves into the horrific business of human trafficking. Author Susie Drougas has done her research on this topic and tells a good story. Drougas is also an accomplished backcountry trail rider which adds authenticity to her stories. Goin’ South is Book 5 of the Dusty Rose series.5/5(12). This book shouldn't have worked, but it did. Very well. It starts with an almost Steinbeckian portrait of a carpenter down on his luck in these luckless times of all consuming greed, then it takes a wide left turn and incorporates a former sideshow act bounty hunter with a partial twin growing out of his chest and a hapless Elvis impersonator with a strong attachment to a miniature dog.4/5. Goin’ South is a heart- rending story of the lead-up to the anti-discrimination march of Dr. Martin Luther King and his followers, the confrontation with Bull Connor and his vicious minions, and the aftermath that generated King's famous I HAVE A DREAM speech. Publish your book with B&N. Gone South is a glorious, countrified character study; on display is one of McCammon’s most enthralling plots set against the swamps of Louisiana. If I may humble brag for a moment, I am going to a McCammon reading/signing on Tuesday and will certainly take my first edition of this book /5.

Find album release information for Goin' South - Various Artists on AllMusic8/ Goin' South isn't actually as Southern as its title or marketing suggest; while most of the songs here are pretty compatible musically, only about half of them fall under strict definitions of Southern rock. That said, there really isn't much here that Southern rock fans won't enjoy -- most of it is informed by country and/or blues, and boogies just as hard as the true Southern rock cuts.8/ He made "The Shooting" and "Ride in the Whirlwind" back to back in with the cult budget director Monte Hellman. Both fine movies. He then made that strange Arthur Penn movie with a very large and eccentric Marlon Brando, "The Missouri Breaks" (76). That was followed in by "Goin South", which fits into the comedy western category. Book Title = Goin' South Price: US $, CAN $ Author: Dale M.
